Unity. Archipelago between Lofoten and Bodø, the northern part of Norway. July 26, 2024. I was struck by the backlit islands and the dynamic range of luminosities fusing sea, land and sky.
Temporalities. Detail from a beach, Fredvang, Lofoten. July 22, 2024. The veins in the sand and the stones are visual records of processes spanning over very different intervals, attesting parallel temporalities: The veins in the sand change rapidly and almost every minute, whereas the veins in the stones only change slowly and over much longer time spans.
Racing darkness. Selfjord, Lofoten. July 25, 2024. Fast-moving shadows in a valley walled by richly textured mountain slopes and ephemeral clouds.
Flow and immobility. Fredvang, Lofoten. July 20, 2024. Low sidelight illuminating the low-hanging clouds as well as the fast-paced clouds in the sky. The ridge of the mountain separates the two and is indifferent and immobile.
